County Choir

Makueni County Choir

Founded in 2018, the mission of the Makueni County Choir is to enable talented musicians to participate in a high quality musical forum from which they can build their careers and expand their realm of knowledge and interest in the arts.

Since inception, the choir has been very active and performs in most County government functions and in social functions for entertainment. The choir also participates in the Kenya Music and Cultural Festival.

The Makueni County Choir participates in a variety of classes: set pieces; own arrangements of Zilizopendwa and African tunes, compositions, verses, chants and folksongs of different ethnic groups.

The choir aims to perform music across the country and beyond and is open to invitation.

Invitations to Performances, Functions and Events

All invitations must be formal (in writing) and addressed to the Chairperson, Makueni County Choir.

All invitations shall indicate the transport arrangements for choir members (to be borne by the institution and/or individual inviting the choir), the duration of performance and all other logistics.

Informal invitations will be honoured upon full payment of all the charges.
