WOTE MUNICIPAL BOARD INDUCTION

Today, 22/05/26, the Deputy Governor and the county leadership team joined the Wote Municipal Board members and the Municipality Manager during the final day of the Governance and Leadership Induction Programme held from 19th to 22nd May 2026. The engagement reaffirmed the County Government of Makueni’s commitment to strengthening municipal governance, institutional coordination, and effective service delivery within Wote Municipality.

The programme brought together key county leadership including the County Secretary, the County Attorney, the CECM for Lands, Urban Planning and Development, and a representative from the Council of Governors (CoG), who emphasized the importance of accountable and strategic urban governance in driving sustainable urban development.

Through the induction, Board members were equipped with knowledge and skills in areas such as urban governance, strategic oversight, public finance management, procurement, human capital management, accountability, integrity, risk management, and effective communication in public service.

The sessions also provided an opportunity for the Board and municipal leadership to align on priorities and build a shared vision for the growth and transformation of Wote Municipality.
