About Wote Municipality

The Governor of Makueni County granted the Municipality of Wote its Charter on 29 June 2018. The Municipality hosts the County headquarters and covers sections of Makueni, Kaiti, and Mbooni Sub-Counties. The Municipality covers an approximate area of 1082 Square Kilometers with a population of 164,116 (census 2019).
