Telling Makueniโs Story, One Creator at a Time!
On Friday, the County Innovation Hub in Wote came alive as 30 young people joined a training on storytelling and digital content creation for tourism promotion.
The session was organized by the Youth in Tourism and Conservation Initiative (YTCI) in partnership with the County Government of Makueni. It gave participants practical skills to document and promote Makueniโs tourism attractions, rich cultural heritage and unique community experiences through digital platforms.
Participants explored how to:
Capture compelling photos and videos of local attractions
Craft authentic stories that showcase our culture and communities
Use social media and digital platforms to put Makueni on the tourism map
The youth also got hands-on experience in the Hubโs storytelling and content creation studios, turning ideas into real content.
Makueni has stories worth telling, and our young people are ready to tell them to the world.
