Stakeholders Unite to Fast-Track Kaiti 4 Water Project.

Wote | 8th September 2026 -The County Government of Makueni, Tana Athi Water Works Development Agency, the National Government, Wote Water and Sewerage Company (WOWASCO) and other stakeholders onTuesday met to strengthen collaboration in the implementation of the Kaiti 4 Water Project.

Currently 20% complete, the project includes construction of a storage tank, raising of the main pipeline and installation of a 21-kilometre distribution network.

Ag. CECM for Water and Sanitation Japheth Mang’oka called for enhanced collaboration among stakeholders, noting that the project will significantly ease water shortages in Wote Town and surrounding areas. The project is expected to be completed within 18 months.

Also present were CECM for Lands, Urban Planning, Development, Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Paul Musila and Wote) Nziu Ward MCA, Felix Mateso, among other stakeholders.
