𝐈𝐂𝐏𝐀𝐊 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐢 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

𝐖𝐨𝐭𝐞, 𝟐𝟐 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 – The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) has commended Makueni County for clean audit reports, recognising the county’s commitment to prudent accounting and financial management.

ICPAK Chairperson CPA Prof. Elizabeth Kalunda Muvui made the remarks during a meeting with Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. in Wote, when She lead her team in a courtesy call on the governor.

The meeting explored collaboration in capacity building for county staff and MSMEs, particularly groups supported through the county’s empowerment programmes.

The two sides also discussed opportunities for other counties to benchmark Makueni’s financial management prudence, especially on own-source revenue and cashless revenue collection systems.

Governor Mutula urged ICPAK to strengthen the sharing of its research, journals and professional publications with county governments to support informed decision-making and effective implementation of devolution.

The engagement reaffirmed the shared commitment to strengthening accountability, financial management and service delivery in Makueni County.
