Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr has commissioned the Kwa Kakui Earth Dam as he kicks off a day-long development tour of Mukaa Ward, accompanied by his deputy Lucy Mulili and a host of MCAs

The dam has been expanded and rehabilitated to increase its storage capacity under the first phase of Financing Locally-Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) investments across the County, enhancing access to safe and reliable water for local communities.

The project is benefiting 630 households across nine villages, as well as Salvation Army Maiani Girls Secondary School and Primary School.

The beneficiary villages are Kombuni, Katalani A, Ndaatai A, Ndaatai B, Katalani B, Muthitha, Kwa Ng’ai, Kamuthini and Kivuu.
