Makueni Leaders Engage Salama Market Stakeholders on Local Development Priorities
The County Government of Makueni has stepped up engagement with local stakeholders to identify development gaps, address community concerns and strengthen service delivery in Salama.
A team of County Executive Committee Members (CECMs), including Japheth Mangโoka, Nicholas Nzioka, Dr Paul Musila, Irene Makau, Eng. Sebastian Kyoni and Peter Mumo, met with market leaders, opinion leaders and other stakeholders to listen to their concerns and discuss priority interventions for the area.
Key issues raised for discussion included road maintenance, the boda boda sector, land matters, water access, street lighting, health sector and energy, as well as municipal services. Stakeholders also highlighted the need for a service lane to help address rising road accidents and improve safety for road users. The discussions provide an opportunity for residents to identify gaps and engage the County Government on practical solutions.
The engagement is part of ongoing efforts to bring development discussions closer to the people, ensuring that local priorities inform planning and service delivery. The consultations will continue in Kwa DC and Malili, giving more residents and stakeholders an opportunity to contribute to the development agenda.
