GOVERNOR MUTULA KILONZO Jr. CHAMPIONS EXPANSION OF HUDUMA SERVICES.
Makueni Governor H.E. Mutula Kilonzo Jr. has called for the expansion of citizen-centered public service delivery to improve access to essential services nationwide.
Speaking at the 3rd Annual Huduma Centre Managers Conference in Mombasa, the Governor highlighted persistent access challenges in rural areas, noting that Makueni has only one Huduma Centre in Wote.
To bridge this gap, the County, in partnership with Huduma Kenya, implemented the Huduma Mashinani Programme, delivering services directly to communities.
Between December 2025 and March 2026, the initiative served 76,399 residents across all 30 wards and offered 24 integrated government services.
Huduma Kenya CEO CPA Ben Kai Chelumo lauded the programme as a model for national replication.
Governor Mutula urged service managers to embrace innovation and collaboration to ensure inclusive, efficient, and accessible public service delivery for all Kenyans.
The Governor was accompanied by the CECM Gender, Children, Youth Sports and Social Services, Eng. Sebastian Kyoni.
