𝗞𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶 𝗜𝗩 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲.

𝗪𝗢𝗧𝗘, 𝟮𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 – Residents of Wote and its environs will soon have a more reliable water supply following the ongoing construction of the Kaiti IV Water Project along the Kaiti River.

Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr on Tuesday inspected the project as he toured water infrastructure being developed in Wote/ Nziu ward to address persistent water shortages .

The Kaiti IV project is being implemented by Tanathi Water Services Board in partnership with the Makueni County Government under the Kitui-Matuu-Wote Last Mile water Connectivity Project.

Mutula said the project had incorporated lessons from earlier sand dam projects, and enhanced technology to improve water retention .

The governor said the county government would ensure the project is completed before the onset of the rains.

The project is among measures being undertaken by the county government to increase water availability and address perennial shortages affecting residents in Wote.
